An image sensor is an intelligent motion detection device with an integrated camera.  The sensor uses passive infra-red detection (PIR) to detect the movement of humans and vehicles while filtering out animals weighing less than 40 lbs.  When motion is detected and verified the built in camera takes multiple still shots and transmits the images wirelessly to your phone and the central station. Live operators can see what object caused the alarm to activate and use the image to validate the alarm condition. We call this image or video verification and it results in faster police response. 

Power G is a powerful wireless communication format and has an open air range greater that 1 mile.  We can use repeaters and signal boosters to extend the range if needed but that is rarely needed on most construction sites.  Don't let range be a concern.  We have many tools to create a solid wireless solution for any site.

All sensors are outdoor rated and operate fine under most standard weather conditions. 

Standard battery life is 5-8 years in moderate climate conditions. Extreme heat and cold can cause batteries to need more frequent replacement but even with typical North American temperatures you should get a minimum of 3 years from your batteries. 

Our main control systems have backup batteries that ensure even during a power failure event, the GoView system remain powered and active.  You get alerts when primary power fails and you also get status updates to warn of low batteries or power restoral. You will never have to wonder if your system is working because you can always check the updated status. 

False alarms are not a major issue. The main cause for false alarms is user error and not due to the system detecting and alerting on false positives. We consider false alarms more of a training issue and we work with you to provide training to your staff to eliminate these types of false alarms.

YES!  The outdoor alarm systems from GoView are an excellent additional layer of security for an existing mobile surveillance system. We can integrate the 2 systems such that an alarm signal gets verified with the Live Monitoring Agent prior to calling you or dispatching.  This further reduces the chance of a false alarm. It also provides coverage of difficult areas that can't be easily seen by the surveillance cameras. 

1. Rapid response is a key factor in the effectiveness. Because there is an immediate audio (siren) and visual (strobe light) response, would be intruders often abandon their plan and flee the area. 

2. The low cost of sensors compared to other forms of security make it possible to cover a much larger area for a lower cost. This is hands down the most cost efficient and accurate way to detect intruders in a large outdoor area.

3. Live monitoring is a huge key.  Not only will the system detect and deter the crime, but it will continue beyond this level to actual police or guard dispatch.  The live monitoring agent can see images from the Camera Motion Sensors and also can see if multiple sensors are tripped which gives confirmation that an actual intruder is on the site.
